Blankets and swaddles
Baby blankets are generally made from natural fibres; cashmere, wool, cotton, or bamboo. They can be used in the stroller, in bed, at home and while travelling. A good blanket will be useful for many years.
Generally your child will start using a blanket to sleep with at around 18 months, until then a sleeping bag is advised as baby can’t cover himself should he move around in bed. Sleeping bags are made for every season, and from birth until around 3 years old.
For newborns, cotton swaddles can be used to wrap the baby in the first weeks. These swaddles will remain very useful longterm. Candide brand also make a Swaddle bag, for 0-3 months, which is practical for parents and comfortable for baby.
